Evidence-based development beginning in Batticaloa and expanding across Sri Lanka.
About
The Research Institute for Development Policy and Strategy
(IDPS) is an independent, non-partisan think tank dedicated to advancing sustainable development through
evidence-based research, policy analysis, strategic planning, and knowledge-driven solutions.
In an
increasingly complex and rapidly changing world, communities, governments, and institutions face challenges
that require innovative, practical, and sustainable responses. IDPS was established to bridge the gap between
research, policy, and action by generating high-quality knowledge that supports informed decision-making and
long-term development outcomes
Our work is grounded in rigorous research, reliable data, and meaningful
stakeholder engagement. We strive to provide policymakers, development partners, civil society organizations,
academic institutions, and the private sector with credible insights and strategic recommendations that
contribute to social progress, economic growth, and effective governance.
